Justin is a tutor manager for the languages. He is a psychobiology and Spanish major with a minor in the evolutionary studies program, and has been a tutor since fall 2008. He tutors Spanish and psychology courses: SPA 101-301 and PSY 200-201. Justin is from Wind Gap, Pa., serves as the president of Psi Chi and as a teacher’s assistant for PSY 200-201. Justin believes the ALC is built around the idea that students are helping students; he loves the ALC because of this philosophy and as a tutor manager, he strives to foster that connection among all students. For example, he says one of the most important things taught in tutor training is that every person has their own way of learning. Justin believes that it’s only appropriate that Albright’s tagline, “A different way of thinking,” applies to tutoring. Every person has a unique way of thinking. |

Lindsay is a tutor manager for the humanities and is an English and psychology major. She has been an ALC tutor since spring 2010, as well as an ESL tutor since fall 2008. Lindsay tutors PSY 100 and comes from Hellam, Pa. She is the secretary of Psi Chi and the vice president of fellowship for Alpha Phi Omega. She enjoys the ALC because the staff members are so helpful and supportive and she continually sees her own ideas being put into action. As a tutor manager, she feels able to connect with so many people and share tutoring strategies and techniques with her fellow tutors. She says she’s learning so many things by being a tutor manager, all of which benefits her now as a student and in the future as a professional. |
