Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell Favorite Thing About Being an Enrollment AdvisorMy favorite thing about my job is the relationships I build with students. The students in Blue Bell are why I do what I do. I have a passion for higher education and a desire to provide an environment where a student is equipped to fulfill their greatest potential. Advice for a Prospective Adult Student Looking to Return to SchoolThe advice I would give a prospective student who is looking to return to school would be from Wayne Gretzky, “You miss 100% of the shots you never take.” If it is your goal to achieve your College education, there is no time like the present. Whether you are a working mother of two or an individual looking for career advancement; the opportunity to achieve your degree is within reach. Favorite Accelerated Degree Program MemoryI have several life changing memories from my time in DCP as both a student and an Advisor. As a student I was able to build lifetime friendships with my cohort, learn from faculty members who would become my colleagues, and gain knowledge inside the classroom that helped prepare me for the future. As a graduate, I was able to transition from a blue collar manager into a position where I can assist those who are in the same shoes that I had once worn. As an advisor, I am able to guide, mentor, and lead students who each have their own individual story into a world of unlimited possibilities. |
