Albright College - Clubs and Organizations

Description: The purpose of AVAO is to introduce students to the area of art and encourage personal interests. The goal of AVAO for 2008-2009 is to branch Albright students out into the Art World that is located just outside the College and in Reading, PA. The club will also like to become a peer group for any artists on campus who are looking for a forum for any art pieces, which are done outside of class.

Typical Semester/special events/trips/programs:

- Some events we are planning this year include a trip to goggleworks in the fall on “Second Sunday”, when all the artists are in the studios.

Some private classes in the area of glassblowing.
Show in the Spring hosted by the goggleworks.
We are also in communication with Berks arts council to hold a mural painting in Reading as a community service work.
