Description:
One misconception of African Diaspora is that the primary focus is on Africa and African people, cultures and histories. This is true, because we want people to be aware that Africa is a continent of rich diversity. However, in appreciation and knowledge of the Diaspora, our focus is not solely on Africa, but on Africas influences on culture, histories, people, art and life throughout the Diaspora. (the Americas, Europe, Africa, ect.)

Typical Semester/special events/trips/programs:
1. Africa in the Americas - a look at religion in North, Central, and South America with Dr. Kiddy and Dr. King.
2. Experiencing Africa - Diverse African foods featured along with an informational presentation about different regions in Africa.
3. MOLETLO - An annual African dinner celebration with food and entertainment.
Candle Light Social - Bringing diversity to Albright college.
