Albright College - Clubs and Organizations

Description: The Albright College Gospel Ensemble is a singing group on-campus that exalts and praises the name of Jesus Christ. It is a non-denominational group that is open to not only Albright students but also the Albright Community as a whole. There are no auditions required to join, and no fees to participate. All that is necessary is a love for Christ and a desire to serve him in singing praises. The organization consists of sub-groups that range from praise and worship to praise dance to spoken word rap. As a whole the choir is mostly concerned with encouraging the presence of Jesus around college-students and uplifting his name wherever they go.

Typical semester/special events/trips/programs: The AC Gospel choir meets every Tuesday and Thursday for choir rehearsals. Every rehearsal starts with a prayer, scripture, praise and worship. Every fall and spring semester we host a college choir night in which ourselves and choirs from other areas join together to sing to the glory of God. Every December we host a candlelight dinner for ourselves, the Albright community and our families. Also every Spring semester we have a Spring concert to proudly show the community how had we worked all year. Lastly, a tradition we have is to travel to all senior’s home churches to sing during their senior year.
