Major Gifts Officer

ALBRIGHT COLLEGE DEGREE COMPLETION PROGAM
FULL-TIME PSYCHOLOGY INSTRUCTOR NON-TENURE TRACK
Albright College is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach in the Applied Psychology Degree Completion Program (DCP). The DCP is an accelerated baccalaureate program. Student cohorts meet once weekly in the evening, completing the program in approximately 24 months. DCP is designed for adult students with two years of college experience and five years of work experience.
Candidates should possess an earned doctorate, but ABD candidates with teaching experience will also be considered. Area of specialization is open. Candidates must have proven teaching record and an expressed interest in teaching non-traditional students. The primary responsibility of the position is to teach the Research Methods sequence (Statistics; Research Methods; and Applied 1 and Applied 2, two courses which comprise an undergraduate research project), so prior experience supervising undergraduate individual independent research is preferred. Additionally, experience teaching any of the following courses is desired: Adult Development, Group Dynamics, Learning and Motivation, Diversity, and Professional Issues. In addition to the Reading, PA site the program is located at seven sites proximal to the main campus; location of courses and base site for this position are flexible.

Biology Department seeks an Ecophysiologist to fill a full-time, tenure-track position. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in ecophysiology or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with an applied emphasis such as environmental toxicology and who have demonstrated teaching excellence. Chemistry and Biochemistry Department invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning August, 2009, in a 7-person ACS-approved department that offers B.S. degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemistry education. Sociology Department is accepting applications for two tenure track positions in Sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2009. Ph.D. in sociology preferred, ABD with successful teaching experience will be considered. The sociology department is a dynamic and growing program at Albright with seven full time faculty members. Preference is for candidates with specialization in the areas of sociology of family and/or environmental sociology, although other areas will be considered. Qualified candidate will provide a variety of tasks in support of the various utility systems on a 118-acre campus consisting of 57 buildings. Successful applicant will be able to operate, maintain, repair and improve electrical distribution systems, electric equipment, plumbing and drainage systems, boilers and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
