Albright College announces an immediate opening for Assistant Director of The Fund for Albright. Founded in 1856, Albright is a nationally ranked, private coeducational liberal arts college located on a 110-acre suburban campus in Berks County Pennsylvania. Albright’s enrollment is 1,660 students with over 17,000 alumni. The Assistant Director of The Fund for Albright, reporting to the Director of The Fund for Albright, is responsible for establishing, developing, and managing a well planned, on-campus phonathon program as part of the College’s annual fund drive. Associate Vice President for Development
Successful candidates for this position will bring a balance of fundraising and organizational leadership experience as well as a demonstrated ability to enhance the promotion of and support for the mission of the College. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible advancement/development experience with demonstrated success in a leadership role is required, as is a Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred. Experience within higher education or related fields in advancement leadership are desirable, including experience in leading fundraising programs focused on annual fund development, leadership gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations. Area Coordinator / Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
Albright College seeks a full-time Area Coordinator live-in professional / a part-time women’s soccer assistant coach. The Area Coordinator is responsible for the operation of designated residence hall areas; administrative office functions; and student affairs programming responsibilities. Director of Institutional Research
Albright College is seeking to fill the position of Director of Institutional Research. This full-time professional position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the institutional research needs of the College, including data collection, analysis and dissemination of findings to meet both internal and external needs. Reporting includes, but is not limited to, completion of federally mandated reports, submission of data to affiliated consortia, and preparation and analysis of data used in the College assessment and strategic planning processes. The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in an appropriate field, with a doctorate preferred, and a minimum of five to eight years' of experience in institutional research, strategic planning, assessment, and data analysis. Serious applicants must have demonstrated ability in research methodology and data collection and analysis as well as direct experience with a comprehensive student information system. Knowledge of and experience with PowerCampus strongly preferred. Proficiency with spreadsheets (MS Excel), relational databases and statistical analysis programs such as SPSS required. Strong skills in written and oral communication required along with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including senior administrators, faculty, staff and students.

Managing Director for the Center for the Arts Cultural Events
Albright College seeks a Managing Director for the Center for the Arts Cultural Events. The Center houses the Art, Music and Theatre Departments as well as the Freedman Art Gallery. This position is responsible for coordination and oversight of the cultural events calendar for the Center, including marketing, publicity, and audience development in conjunction with the academic departments. In addition, the Director will teach one course per semester in Arts Administration as well as supervise interns and student workers. Position requires an MFA in Arts Management or related degree, experience in arts management with a wide knowledge of arts applications. Excellent communication skills required with the capacity to creatively pursue the overall mission of the College. Successful candidate should also have demonstrated ability to lead and mentor students in an innovative and enthusiastic fashion. Albright is an NCAA Division III member institution as well as a member of the Middle Atlantic conference (MAC), the Commonwealth Conference, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Located in the northeast section of Reading, the beautiful 118 acre residential college is situated 60 miles west of Philadelphia and 125 miles from New York and Washington, DC. Responsibilities: The head coach, in collaboration with athletic administration, assistant coaches, and support personnel, is responsible for the overall administration of the newly created men’s Lacrosse Program. The program is expected to reflect the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with NCAA, Middle Atlantic Conference, and ECAC specific governance. The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the Lacrosse program including, but not limited to, teaching and training, general program management, counseling and advising student-athletes, budget management, and the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. Other athletic administrative duties which may include academic monitoring, sports information, office administration or another area may be assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, a successful coaching career, an understanding of the role of athletics in a Division III academic institution, excellent communication skills, superior leadership and organizational abilities, and a demonstrated ability to recruit academically successful student-athletes. Inorganic Chemistry Faculty Position
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning August of 2011, in a 7-person ACS-approved department that offers B.S. degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemistry education. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry by August, 2011. Post-doctoral and/or prior teaching experience is desirable but not required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in environmental chemistry. A strong commitment to undergraduate education, an active research agenda inclusive of undergraduate students, and service to the department and the College are expected. Teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory sections of inorganic chemistry and, in rotation with current faculty, lecture, laboratory and/or recitation sections of general analytical chemistry and/or nonmajors courses.
