Can I connect a laptop to an LCD projector?

Yes. To do so, you need a VGA cable, which looks like this:

VGA cable

Plug and screw in one end of the VGA cable to the VGA port on the laptop, which looks like this:

VGA projector port

Plug and screw in the other end of the VGA cable to the VGA port on the LCD projector (there may be two), which looks like this:

double VGA projector port

Once the cable is plugged into both ports, turn on the LCD projector, then the laptop. If you see the image on the laptop but not through the LCD projector, you may have to press FN and F8 at the same time on the laptop. This combination of keys toggles the display to show on the laptop only, through the projector only, or on the laptop and through the projector at the same time.

If you still cannot see the image through the LCD projector, you may have to press the RGB or the Input button on the LCD projector so that it seeks the right port.
