ACCESS TO OTHER LIBRARIES

While we encourage you to come to the Gingrich Library first, there are many academic libraries within driving distance that are accessible to you and can be helpful, especially if you do not have time for interlibrary loan.

Be sure to take your college ID and another photo ID with you when you visit.

The Gingrich Library is part of the ACLCP (Associated College Libraries of Central Pennsylvania) consortium of more than 20 academic libraries in this section of the state. As an Albright student, you have borrowing privileges from these libraries, which include

Albright College Lycoming College
Alvernia College Messiah College
Bucknell University Mount Aloysius College
Dickinson College Millersville University
Dickinson School of Law Penn State Pennsylvania College of Technology
Elizabethtown College PSU Harrisburg (Capitol Campus)
Franklin & Marshall College Shippensburg University
Gettysburg College State Library of Pennsylvania
Harrisburg Area Community College Susquehanna University
Juniata College U.S. Army War College
Kutztown University Wilson College
Lebanon Valley College York College of Pa.

In addition, if you live in the neighborhood of any publicly supported institution, such as Penn State of RACC, you should be able to borrow items from that campus. You will need a current Albright ID and another form of identification in order to use these libraries.

We also recommend that you obtain a library card from your local Pennsylvania public library since that will provide access to the electronic resources in the POWER Library databases.
